I was a 16-year-old virgin when Jeffrey Epstein first raped me. I was naive and gullible. He was a pillar of finance and a giant in the world that I was an insignificant part of. I was so impressed that this great man would even talk to me…[1]

To demystify Jeffrey Epstein, he must first be understood as a white pimp with some secretive connections. Second, we must acknowledge the rich white brotherhood of men who knew about Epstein’s sexual fetishes and the devastating harms inflicted on the women and girls that he traded for the men’s money and political power.[2] And third, we must understand the corrupt government structures and organized crime that facilitated the treacherous activities of Epstein and his closest collaborators: Leslie Wexner and Ghislaine Maxwell. Epstein has been connected to US and Israeli intelligence agencies. Ghislaine Maxwell’s father Robert was an Israeli spy, as documented in 2002 with 70 pages of source materials in Gordon Thomas and Martin Dillon’s book, Robert Maxwell: Israel’s Superspy. And by Whitney Webb in her 2019 article, Mega Group, Maxwells and Mossad: The Spy Story at the Heart of the Jeffrey Epstein Scandal [3]

Transactional connections between individuals and events were obscured or camouflaged by Epstein, his collaborators and funders. Epstein investigator and victim advocate Nick Bryant[4] explained that the 3 million documents released by the US Department of Justice are confusing and convoluted. Perpetrators of the Epstein crimes – the billionaires, the politicians, princes and princesses,[5] the corrupt academics[6], spies, and pedophile lawyers – camouflage, use misinformation and lies to hide their involvement in Epstein’s multinational espionage, organized crime enterprises, weapons sales, and drug sales.[7] “There are so many stories,” Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez said:

Each story leads to five or six more, all of them jaw-dropping. Scandal after scandal, all pointing to the same incredible, terrifying, Iran-Contra-dwarfing truth: That Epstein’s child sex trafficking ring was not only known to authorities, it fucking belonged to and was a tool of a transnational military intelligence conglomerate that included Israel, the United States and even the Soviet Union/Russia.[8]

Pimps

 What I remember most vividly was him explaining to me how beneficial the experience was for me and how much he was helping me to grow. … I remember feeling so small and powerless, especially after he positioned me by laying me on his floor so that I was confronted by all the framed photographs of him smiling with wealthy celebrities and politicians.[9]

 Epstein was a transactional predator. Using his race, class and sex dominance, he scaled up his pimping network to a global level. But Epstein had much in common with other pimps. He was a full-service pimp who provided men with brotherhood, protection, and entitlement to enact whatever they wanted to hurt women and girls. Epstein’s pimping has been mystified by the press and even his victims’ lawyers.  Attorney Brad Edwards described Epstein’s pimping network as a “molestation pyramid scheme.[10] That is how all pimps operate – they convince one girl or woman to recruit others, and she benefits from the referrals.  But somehow young men of color who are poor are simply called pimps or traffickers, rather than clever men who develop molestation pyramid schemes.

Like Epstein, Hugh Hefner was a white, economically privileged pimp who once said that his life was a “very clever marketing ploy.”[11]  Pimps are often charismatic and charming, but they are also willing to use coercion or commit violence in order to enforce compliance. Virginia Giuffre noted that Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell sought her help in recruiting vulnerable girls who were sufficiently “… ‘on the edge’ that they would submit to sex in exchange for money.”[12] According to survivors of both Epstein’s and also Hefner’s brothel/mansion there were suicides, overdoses, sexual assaults, and highly organized sexual abuse of women and children.

Women under pimp control are groomed to believe they’re in a special family – which is actually more like a cult.[13]  Epstein’s victims were groomed to feel grateful when he offered to pay for their educations.

Pimping is “psychological warfare, not physical combat,” explained a pimp[14]  Like other pimps, Epstein and Hefner targeted and exploited victims’ vulnerabilities.  Using similar tactics, the escort prostitution agency Southwest Companions was an online pimping brotherhood that had 1400 members including professors and a former University of New Mexico president who was leader of the website’s “Hunt Club.” The Hunt Club recruited women in US and Mexican prostitution to travel to New Mexico, where the pimps sold them for men’s sexual use.[15] Another trafficking ring who named themselves the Minnesota Nice Guys, was a group of sex buyers founded by a pimp who was a former assistant county attorney. [16]

Epstein and Hefner used surveillance devices as much as possible. One woman observed that Hefner “has eyes on us all the time” and has tapes on everyone.”[17]  Surveillance data are used to control and blackmail both the women and the men who exploit and rape them. The recordings can also be sold as pornography or fetish films.

Pimps seek connections that protect them and facilitate criminal behavior, for example, police officers or politicians who they can pay off for their silence. Among Epstein’s connections were lawyers, presidents, intelligence agencies, billionaires, tech bosses, and professors.

Unfortunately, pimps are rarely arrested for pimping, trafficking, rape, kidnapping, or torture. The way they are caught is via money laundering, as in the case of the Nevada pimp Joe Conforte, who was only convicted of extortion and tax evasion. This is also how Mafia bosses are dealt with.[18]

Jeffrey Epstein was complicit with several members of the Robert Maxwell family, including “moving money” for them.[19] This activity included Epstein’s laundering of money from illegal activities. Evidence suggesting financial crimes comes from three banks which have made large financial settlements with women victimized by Epstein: JP Morgan Chase agreed to a $290 million settlement  in 2023,[20]  Deutsche Bank agreed to a $75 million dollar settlement in 2023,[21] and Bank of America agreed to a $72.5 million settlement in 2026.[22] When banks spend that kind of money to avoid public lawsuits, it’s likely that the banks are guilty of serious crimes such as welcoming Epstein’s blood money that he laundered with the banks’ complicity [23]

Women are objects for pimps to exploit for profit or ejaculation or both. From their perspective, human beings are commodities. I once asked a former pimp how he viewed the women in his strip club. He explained, “I see them just the way you’d see a lampshade.” Virginia Giuffre noted that “…Epstein liked to tell friends that women were ‘a life-support system for a vagina.’ “‘[24] Pimps like Epstein and Hefner lack empathy.

When a research study compared sex buyers with men who chose not to buy sex acts, we found that the sex buyers had less empathy than men who didn’t buy sex.[25]  What do sex buyers have in common with Silicon Valley Epstein associates Peter Thiel and Elon Musk? They have contempt for others’ experiences of pain. “The fundamental weakness of Western civilization is empathy,” declared Musk.[26]

The Morbid Hoarder Brotherhood

There was pain, but his use of the vibrator and his fingers in previous sessions with me had left a black-hole-like void between my legs. I protested, but he forced my face into the bed to stifle my cries. That was my first time. I got a few hundred dollars, as usual, as he led me out of his mansion with assurances that I was on the right path guided by him.[27]

Epstein was not uniquely evil – there is an entire class of men who engage in predatory behavior by exploiting their extreme wealth and domination of females.[28]  These are men with social influence, political power, wealth, and information/gossip that they sought to exchange for their common interests: more power, more money, and more sexual exploitation of women and girls. “Epstein class” or “the 1%” doesn’t adequately express the harms they cause. These men are predatory hoarders of females, of money, of land and resources. They take WAY WAY more than their share.  Let’s call them the Morbid Hoarder Brotherhood.[29]

It’s a system of predatory accumulation, in which brutal economic injustice and sexual violence reinforce each other for the benefit of a tiny minority of men. The men in this dominant class – including billionaires, bankers, university presidents, politicians, philanthropists, celebrities, liberals, conservatives, tech company owners, and media personalities – consider women to be inferior or worthless. Anand Giridharadas wrote about this group of men who are so skilled at disregarding others’ pain:

They were a powerful social network in which some were able to look away because they had learned to look away from so much other abuse and suffering: the financial meltdowns some in the network helped trigger, the war crimes promoted by some in the network, the overdose crisis that some of them enabled, the monopolies they defended, the inequality they turbocharged, the housing crisis they milked, and the technologies they failed to protect people from.[30]

This group of men with these “skills” aren’t a new phenomenon. F Scott Fitzgerald published The Great Gatsby in 1925, “They were careless people, Tom and Daisy—they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness, or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made.”

“In the past, only governments had this kind of money, money of a reality altering scale,” said Epstein.[31]  The Morbid Hoarder Brotherhood is a global mafia who use “free market” economics to benefit themselves by prostituting children and blackmailing each other as a means to accumulate wealth and global political power. This is about apocalyptic capitalism.[32]

Men’s sexuality is linked to this elite capitalist hoarding: they are aroused by possessions including women and girls. As Virginia Giuffre said, “I was lower than a dog to them, I wasn’t even a puppy to be played with; I was just a toy. You’re not even acknowledged as being alive.”[33]

Simply put, Epstein led a misogynist boys’ club that had contempt for all women, not only the vulnerable females that he pimped out, but also women in the sciences.[34] The Epstein Files expose male supremacy “stripped of all its conciliatory masks – anemic liberalism’s equality prattle, traditionalist righteousness, shame-free feel-good revolutionary kinkiness…”[35] Prostitution itself is the paradigm for men’s domination of women.[36] The men in Epstein’s social network admired him, envied him, lied to protect him, “charmed by his devil-may-care smirking satyric virility, wowed by the profligacy of his appetites and the businesslike methodical efficiency with which he satisfied them.” [37]  

Connecting the dots

Nightmares wake me at all hours. In those dreams, I relive the awful things you and others did to me and the things you forced me to do…I am hyper-vigilant, because I know that evil exists.[38]

The myth of Epstein as a brilliant manipulator who could control anyone, including Leslie Wexner – shields Epstein, Wexner, and others from exposure.  In order to demystify Epstein, it’s essential to understand the institutional structures he operated in and the individuals who protected him.  Making those connections is challenging because they have been skillfully obscured by intelligence agencies and organized crime groups. “We cannot properly address the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein, nor prevent them being committed by others in the future, unless we grapple with the covert power structures that have long wielded blackmail, bribes, and assassinations as their weapons of choice to corrupt and control public institutions while manipulating and looting the public.”[39]

When multiple decades-long coincidences suggest a strategic agenda, they are sometimes dismissed as “conspiracy theories.” But after the events, individuals, and dates are specified, further investigation can then reveal the labyrinthian nature of the links between events.[40] Here is a snapshot of events documented by investigative journalists regarding Epstein’s New Mexico property, named Zorro Ranch.  Most of the Epstein/New Mexico connections have not been challenged or even commented on by federal or state agencies. Recently, because of journalists’ and survivors’ relentless release of testimony and documentation of conflicts of interest between Epstein and his New Mexico, US, and Israel associates – the connections are becoming clearer.

Epstein’s original funding did not come from a lucky break because he was clever with finance. Media reports indicate that Leslie Wexner provided Epstein with his first major money and properties.[41] Wexner, with Charles Bronfman, was a 1991 founding member of the Mega Group which included politicians, millionaires, military, and intelligence agents in USA and Israel.[42] Mega Group has been linked to multinational intelligence and organized crime networks.[43] Epstein was funded by Israeli philanthropists and, some have credibly alleged, collaborated with Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad.[44] “The dots connect: Epstein, inserted via Zionist networks, built a blackmail empire targeting influencers for pro-Israel leverage.”[45]  Suspicious financial transactions involving large amounts of money transferred between Leon Black and Epstein, indicate a probability of fraud and illicit financial hiding.[46]

There are also questions and suspicious circumstances surrounding Epstein’s New Mexico property and the powerful individuals involved. In 1993, Epstein purchased the 7500-acre Zorro Ranch property from Bruce King, governor of New Mexico.[47] Epstein’s New Mexico property is situated midway between two nuclear weapons facilities: Sandia National Laboratories which designs nuclear weapons, and Los Alamos National Laboratory which produced the first atomic weapons.[48] The house on Epstein’s property was built by a contractor who also builds nuclear weapons facilities.[49] In 2016 Epstein’s property had “two active Microwave Industrial/Business Pool licenses” that facilitate “advanced and secretive data communication channels which can’t be monitored, intercepted or logged by third parties”. One of the licenses is still active in 2026.[50]

Robert Maxwell, father of Ghislaine Maxwell, was a known spy for Israel, UK, and Russia.[51] His likely Mossad handler Rafi Eitan told Robert Maxwell to ask US Senator John Tower to “…open the door to Los Alamos and Sandia Laboratories. That is where we want PROMIS [bugged software] installed.” For a “consulting fee” of $200,000, Robert Maxwell bought Texas Senator John Tower, former chair of the US Senate Armed Services Committee. Tower became the liaison between the Mossad and the CIA in 1984.[52] Tower facilitated a meeting between Maxwell and leaders of Sandia. Robert Maxwell then sold Sandia nuclear lab a copy of PROMIS surveillance software that had a secret backdoor giving nuclear details access to Mossad, which facilitated Israel’s production of nuclear weapons.[53]  Whistleblowers at Sandia reported the bugged software to the FBI. U.S. Attorney General Edwin Meese (under Ronald Reagan) ordered New Mexico to shut down the investigation.[54]

Epstein and his network exploited and harmed young women and children at Zorro ranch, just as they did at his Caribbean island. Virginia Giuffre testified that Epstein pimped her to powerful men at the Zorro ranch including Bill Richardson, who was New Mexico governor from 2003 to 2011.[55]  Maria Farmer filed an FBI report regarding sexual assaults at the hands of both Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell at Zorro ranch. These complaints were ignored or shut down entirely by law enforcement at both state and federal levels.[56]

Governor Bruce King’s son, New Mexico Attorney General Gary King, never investigated these complaints about crimes at Zorro Ranch. Yet during that time, Attorney General Gary King coordinated Epstein’s donations to Gary King’s 2004 and 2014 election campaigns, which were hidden behind shell corporations to keep the press from realizing the money came from Epstein; King’s campaign message was protecting children from sex trafficking.[57]

Neither the New Mexico Attorney General nor the US Attorney for the District of New Mexico John J. Kelly, investigated Annie Farmer’s claim of abuse at the Zorro Ranch.[58]  John J. Kelly, like Gary King, had a financial relationship with Epstein; before he became US District Attorney:  Kelly was Epstein’s power of attorney, assisting with his purchase of Zorro Ranch.[59]

After his death, Epstein’s Zorro Ranch was purchased in 2023 by a shell company owned by Don and Mary Huffines, associates of Donald Trump. Don Huffines is a former Texas state senator now running to be Texas comptroller with a campaign slogan of “DOGE Texas.” Don Huffines’ son Russell Huffines works as the Associate Director of Agency Outreach in the White House Office of Cabinet Affairs. The Huffines plan to turn the Zorro ranch into a Christian youth retreat. [60]

As this article goes to press, a commission to investigate governmental concealment of Epstein’s activities in New Mexico has announced that they will issue 14 subpoenas to organizations including the FBI, the U.S. Department of Justice, the New Mexico governor’s office, Deutsche Bank, JPMorgan Chase, Federal Aviation Administration, local law enforcement agencies, and the Santa Fe Institute. The commission says it will investigate not only sex abuse but also financial crimes, and institutional failures including issues with the state’s sex offender registry and state land lease issues.[61]  Hopefully the next subpoenas will include the individuals named in this article.

In conclusion, most journalists who write about Epstein focus on his sexual violence, his rich co-conspirators, their glee in exploiting vulnerable females, and their joy in hoarding money and property as well as girls. Too often the facts that Epstein’s crimes were state-sponsored by intelligence agencies and carried out by global criminal networks – are ignored.  As horrific as the sadistic cruelty of prostitution is – it is one of several elements that must be understood in order to demystify Jeffrey Epstein.  Yes, he was a man who pimped and trafficked girls and young women to crude rich smelly creeps who hung out together and calculated their next power moves. Yes, we must also demystify how the neoliberal Morbid Hoarder Brotherhood operates globally. But we also need to know more about the ways in which intelligence agencies of USA, Israel, and Russia were intimately involved with Epstein.[62] Are blackmail, money laundering, and organized crime operations, the primary means of governmental control?[63] The historical and ongoing alliances between corrupt politicians, intelligence agencies, billionaires, and organized criminals can seem overwhelming.  Hope, vigilance, further investigation, and organized resistance are necessary.
